Cropland surrounds small villages
Hubley Township was formed in 1853 from Lower Mahantongo Township, which was divided into several other townships in the county´s West End. The largest villages include Sacramento and Spring Glen.

The township is named after Judge Francis B. Hubley.

With Route 25 stretching down its middle, Hubley Township is part of the fertile Hegins Valley, with agriculture as its primary industry. It borders Hegins Township on the east and Dauphin County´s Lykens Township to the west.
